Case Study report of chapter 3

1. Statement of the problem

A.Definition

Maria's roommate is making a noise.

B.Analysis

Maria feels annoying and angry about her roommate's noisying.

2. Suggestion of Possible Solutions

A. Solution 1

She have to make a conversation with her roommate and tell her what she feels and request of her roommate.

B. Solution 2

She should tell the police or social security or school security about her situation. Then they will make this up.

C. Solution 3

She have to keep patience until end of the semester and go to the housing office and make an order to change dorm in next semester.

3. Evaluation of Possible Solutions

A. Solution 1

1. Adv: It is very polite and formal way to solve the problem
2. Dis: If the conversation will fail, then the situation will getting worse.

B. Solution 2

1. Adv: The security will make a specific solution immidiately.
2. Dis: If the work fail, then she and her roommate's relationship will getting worse.

C. Solution 3

1. Adv: It will make no problem with her roommate.
2. Dis: She will get a lot of stress for that.

4. Selection of solution

A. choice: Solution 1
B. Justification: The solution 2 is the safest solution among these solutions. And also it is very formal and polite way. The roommate is not going to angry with the conversation for this problem.
